Michael Faught - Founder and Managing Partner
Michael was the original founding Managing Partner of Technology Capital Partners in its first iteration and led the partnership’s efforts in team building, deal sourcing, financing, and servicing (accounting and legal) relationships.
Prior to launching TCP, Michael spent seven years, collectively, in investment banking (Lehman Brothers) and M&A and Financial Restructuring (Kidder Peabody/GE Capital). Michael also spent five years in Operations Analysis (AlliedSignal) and technology commercialization (Technology Management & Funding). Prior to a seven-year “sabbatical” teaching in an inner-city LA high school and running, as Executive Director, the LA market for a large national non-profit, Michael spent seven years in start-up management in which he served as Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and President.
Michael holds an MBA in finance from Wharton and an AB in economics from Harvard. While in college, Michael was a two-time All-American and All-Ivy lacrosse selection and still today holds Harvard’s single-season varsity lacrosse scoring record.
Originally from the East Coast, Michael moved to Los Angeles over 20 years ago to be near his two young sons. Now that they're successfully launched, and given the abundance of technology in the area (and awesome skiing), Michael relocated to Salt Lake City, Utah in April 2021.
